Daily newspaper, doing page setup using Adobe InDesign CS3, working from dummies with news articles already budgeted. Weekends, putting pages together without supervision. Also responsible for proofreading and editing copy before it is placed on the pages.

Weekly column: Planning, writing and editing a weekly column for the Okeechobee News that deals with Seniors on Computers. This is a segment of the population that, in some cases, missed the computer revolution but is now finding out they need this capability. Tackling topics such as saving files, handling photos, security and online banking explained with seniors in mind.

Web Site Development Course

This eight-week course is customized to each of the participating companies. It is held at Saginaw Valley State University and takes a company through the web development process and also teaches company representatives how to keep that web site fresh and updated. The course uses a proven method of instruction where a group of companies go through the program together which reduces the expense and lets companies share with each other productively.
